We interviewed Mr. Matthew Mak regarding his duties for engineering department.
Mr. Matthew Mak has been with us for 19 years after graduating from university. He has handled many project sites as PM and now he is the PM of HBR 123 site.
The project for HBR123 is a 26-storey office building named “8 Bay East” near Ngau Tau Kok MTR Station. The construction period was from May 2017 to May 2019. We received the contract through the nomination by the well-known HK developer “Wheelock Properties” for the installation of MVAC services and BMS, however the whole building was sold to a China development company and the building has been renamed to “IVGEM NEO Building”.
The major air conditioning equipment would be 4 nos. 500RT water cooled chillers together with 4 nos. cooling towers. The general air conditioning system serving for typical office floors adopts VAV system.
Actual working hours for the project team are long and challenging, however there is a chance to learn new things and enhance the development in this department.
